Many technology companies have given Apple its support, but in an interview with the Financial Times, says Bill Gates that he believes that Apple should go to the FBI’s requirements. He does not agree that such a measure would create a precedent. Gates says:
– This is about a specific case where the authorities asking for access to information. They are not asking for anything in general, they ask for a specific case.
This goes against Apple’s opinion on the matter, which is a measure of the San Bernardino case would open the door to similar claims in the future. Apple also says that a backdoor into an Iphone, once developed, could be used again and again.
