The launch of LG G5 and Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 edge takes place directly after the other on Sunday. Last year’s top models from both companies were in many ways excellent products, but neither G4: an LG or Samsung S6: or were no direct hits.
Samsung’s new improved recipe for success is expected, among other things, include a greater battery, memory, water protection and improvement of cameras and monitors. The design is similar to the predecessors.

This is a trend that has grown stronger. And the answer to the question whether it is worth spending a few extra hundred dollars on one of the top models are not as obvious as a few years ago. Especially if the best camera is the top priority.
Further proof of how important this part of the market came last week when Qualcomm launched three new processors for mid-range and entry-level models. Among the newcomers are the Snapdragon 625 that replaces a model that was introduced last September. It is based on a 14nm-manufacturing process which promise better Battery life. The first handsets with the processor will come in the second half of the year.
