Now it is, above all, the time we put in to surfing that is growing, according to internet infrastructure foundation of Sweden (IIS) annual report on the internet habits of swedes.

” more and More people are connecting via mobile phone or a tablet. The more that do it the more time you spend on the internet, because you can be connected everywhere, ” says Måns Jonasson, digital strategist at IIS.

five years ago, tablets unusual. Now there is an average of one in every household. Just surfplattornas entry think Måns Jonasson is one of the reasons that it is becoming increasingly common for even the smallest children are using the internet.

” I think it has to do with the fact that it is a handy device with a large screen and easy for small fingers to use compared to a phone. Of late there has been more apps and services that are aimed at children and that works just on the plates, ” he says.

three years ago, was 8 per cent of the tvååringarna and more than 20 percent of treåringarna daily internet users. Today, the figures are 32% and 57% respectively.

” Looking at two – and treåringarna use has increased quite dramatically just in one year. Most of it is about that they are looking at used or use an app, but for us it is use of the internet as internet usage, ” says Måns Jonasson.

the Parents ‘ attitude to the tablet has also changed with the years.

” a few years ago talked a lot about that it could be harmful. It feels like it is the stigma starts to drop and fewer parents are worried for it, ” says Måns Jonasson.

another of the things that Måns Jonasson believe stands out in this year’s survey is how the surfing is stealing more and more time from other media.

– this is The first time we see that the internet runs on other traditional media as the main source of information. Before, it was the tv. Among the youngest, it has been so long, but now climbs it up in ages.
