Zenfone 3 Deluxe: Groovy lyxlur with the new Snapdragon – M3

a few years ago was Asus not only a manufacturer of computers and tablets, but also released a handful of really good smart phones in both the premium and mid-range. But then the last one, the New Padfone Infinity which came in the fall of 2013, it has been quite quiet. Their phones were never any direct success, much because of the strange decision to try to market it as a 2-in-1 along with a surfplattedocka.

They have launched new mobile phones, but mostly in Asia. Some of these have gone to buy single stores that direktimpoterat them, but officially, Asus has kept away from Sweden.

however, it is Now time again, their latest creation called the Zenfone 3, released today. It is, in fact, three models released at the same time. Zenfone 3 which is a 5.2-incher in just under the premium-class. Zenfone 3 Max which is an expensive 5,5-incher in the centre of nurnberg, and finally, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, the most expensive, most luxurious and vräkigaste of them all. Phones is going to pre-order from tomorrow (november 15) from MediaMarkt, Webbhallen, Netonnet, Complete, and Dustin.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe
We are treated to a high build quality and luxury feeling. Around the screen feels Asus typical cirkelslipade metal surface again.

Seamless design conceals antennas

We got hold of a test unit of the Zenfone 3 Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and began to feast on the real flagship. Keep an eye out for our test of Zenfone 3 in a few days, if the Deluxe is too big or expensive for your taste.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe exude classical elegance and luxury, and stay in the same school of design as the HTC 10, Oneplus 3 and Huawei Mate 8, with slightly arched metallbaksida and beveled, shiny edges. But with an interesting difference, it has no plastrand the back for the antenna signal that the phones in the metal usually has. Instead, actually seems to make all the ends to be of signalvänlig plastic composite.

But it is not noticeable, the joints are so stylish that it feels whole and there is good solid metal feel, even around the edges, and we get to really examine the meticulous to see that it is not aluminum there. The signal strength is not to complain, we both get good wifi and 4g reception. A Problem with such, however, is as always difficult to discover in just a few days of use, but first impression is good.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe
the Back is totally smooth, without those typical plastränderna as many competitors have.

Large screen with nice colors

the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is a real giant with 5.7-inch display, which can be a bit too substantial for many users, but in order to be a 5,7-tumsmobil is not unnecessarily wide, thanks to the thin margins on the sides. The Asus is running with the fixed touch buttons for navigation below the screen, they are clearly outline and is visible always. Some phones have the bad habit to hide them and put a diode behind the display them, only after you printed. This is clearly better.

the Front is covered by Gorilla Glass 4, and behind sits a amoled panel at 1080p. Perhaps we would have preferred a 1440p here, but in this case just because it looks prettier if you use a vr headset such as Google Cardboard or the like. It is punkttätt enough as it is. The screen gives us a decent brightness to be an amoled, and nice clear colors. We get the same excellent own control over the color settings here as in the Asus tablets and computers, complete with the good preset modes, manual color control, and a blåljusfilterläge.

Zen UI
Asus gives us a good opportunity to adjust both picture and sound. It is estimated.

the Plus and minus for the sound

the Zenfone has a really good built-in audio chip, which, just like for example HTC 10 or LG V10 delivers slightly better audio to a pair of good speakers than phones usually do. In addition, we have good setting options in the system, with clear pre-set modes for music, movies, voice and more, as well as an excellent equalizer. The supplied in-ear headphones are also a little better than what usually comes with phones. But are you a real audiophile, you learn in and of itself still plug in your own favoritlurar.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe
the Speaker that sits in the bottom is not so impressive. More fun is that the usb plug running usb 3.0, which enables fast file transfers possible. It can be good if you filled the entire 128 GB of Flash volume with photos and film.

However, we are less impressive by its built-in speakers, which have thin and burkig character in mono. It has many competitors snatched up in the years and supplies a nice stereo sound which raises the experience for example, if you want to watch a Youtube clip or two. On that point is Asus after. Högtalarproblemen go, unfortunately, again at the phone calls, although the sound in the ear is flatter and sharper than what we expect of a phone in this price range. But maybe you have to run rather with handsfree for a telephone?
