Apple missed the goal – Cook received a lower salary.

The american teknikjätten Apple missed in the last year, its sales and profitability targets for the first time since 2009. As a result got ceo Tim Cook is significantly lower compensation than the year before, writes the Wall Street Journal.

Cook’s total compensation to the landed of 8.75 million dollars, approximately 80 million, a decrease of 15 percent compared with 2015, when he earned 10.3 million dollars. It is the variable remuneration, the bonus, which has reduced the – Cook’s basic salary was increased instead by 50 per cent to 3 million dollars, according to a document that Apple submitted to the united states’s financial services authority.

In the totals is not included on the mammoth, one-time compensation in the form of shares which Cook received in 2011, and at the time was valued at approximately 376 million dollars, about 3.4 billion, notes the WSJ.

During the last fiscal year, which stretched back to september 2016, a decrease in sales of Apple’s Iphone for the first time since the first version of the mobile phone was launched in 2007. Other products, like Apple Watch, and services like Apple’s Music did not sell enough to offset the losses and the company reported reduced sales year on year for the first time in 15 years.

Teknikjätten now puts great hope in the latest mobilmodellerna, Iphone 7 and Iphone 7 plus. Cook claimed in the autumn that the cravings for the models is large, is greater than the supply. But exactly how many mobiles sold, we won’t know until the 31st of January, when Apple publishes the next quarterly report.
