Next week released Resident Evil 7: Here are our favorites in the series – Smartworld

Revelations

7. Resident Evil: Revelations

Resident Evil: Revelations was first released exclusively for 3DS, but was converted shortly afterwards to both the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Surprisingly enough, fit the portable format ideal for the series, even if the HD version may be considered to be the best. Unlike magplasken Resident Evil 6 this was more faithful to its predecessor. Much inspiration was taken from the fourth part, which we will come to further down.

6. Resident Evil Zero

Gamecube-exclusive Resident Evil Zero included above all an interesting idea: it was possible to switch between two different characters at any time, in addition, it was possible to place objects wherever you were. The adventure took place before the events of the original and told the story of the Bravo member Rebecca Chambers and an abandoned train. The whole picture was somewhat fragmented, in particular with reference to fiendefloran that included everything from zombies to giant insects, but in their best moments, held it high class.

5. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

One of the most exciting parts in Resident Evil 2 was when the character of Mr. X is revealed towards the end. The concept of having to be chased by a great enemy was something that Capcom built on in part three, where instead Nemesis acted unpleasant companion the game through. Like the runner-up took the plot place in Racoon City, which caused it to feel a bit repetitive when it was launched. So here in the rear view mirror it was a really hectic game filled where the Nemesis provided a lot of nerve.

4. Resident Evil: Code Veronica

Like so many other parts in the Resident Evil series was Code Veronica, a title not held the same class right through but the first half was at least really good. In addition, the challenge was high with several difficult bosses. Code Veronica also marked a tipping point – for the first time was the pre-rendered backgrounds replaced by three-dimensional polygonmotsvarigheter. It also meant that Capcom was able to play with among other things, förstapersonsperspektivet.

3. Resident Evil 2

After the huge success that one was, expectations were at the two high. Stories have been told about the burnout in the team, and the game were also affected by long delays. Resident Evil 2, however, was very well done as in the classical uppföljaranda offered more of everything. Here there was a greater variety in enemies, more weapons, and a story that took place outside the mansion as the original took place in.

2. Resident Evil

It is not possible to overstate the impact that Resident Evil has had on the horror genre. When it was released in 1996, the competition was virtually non-existent, but just a few years later, there were several people who had latched on to the train. To this day, is the title surprisingly eerie with its sävliga paced and well-written music. Also the surroundings, which, of course, took the opportunity zombiehistorien perfect, are doing their for the atmosphere. The very best is the HD edition from 2015.

RE

1. Resident Evil 4

It is very difficult to rank in the top three on this list, but part four seems still that both the producer Shinji Mikamis and the whole series highlight. The first konceptskisserna showed Leon S. Kennedy running in the palatial environments, but once the game was finished was the scene instead in the Spanish bergkedjan the Pyrenees. Actually, it had very little to do with the first parts of the series, everything from perspective to fiendeflora was changed, but it was also exactly what the series needed at the time.
