The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be Nintendo’s last games for the Wii U – FZ

There is still a Switch-fever on selected parts of the internet after Nintendo recently gave us more information about their new console. In march there will be a celebratory launch with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the large flagship. A game that is also coming to the current desktop Nintendo console, the Wii U.

those of You who like the machine very much should put you all down before you read on. the Breath of the Wild will be the last game to the console that Nintendo themselves develop. The information comes from Nintendo boss Reggie Fils-Aime, in a statement to Polygon.

“From a first-party standpoint, there’s no new development coming after the launch of the legend of Zelda: the Breath of the Wild. We really are at the end of life for the Wii U.” -Reggie Fils-Aime

Nintendo has previously said that the Switch is not a replacement of the portable machine, the 3DS. That the Wii U would go to the grave, however, was almost a matter of course, and the big question was just when it would happen. Which we in a way know now.

Fils-Aime assures, however, that they will continue to support onlinefunktionerna in their current game despite the fact that they no longer actively develop for the console. He points out that the Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon still is popular online game with a high level of activity.
