Large crackdown on hackarnätverk – Västerbottens-kuriren (the Courier)

Police in several countries have struck against a large hackarnätverk. At the crackdown seized 39 of servers around the world, five people were arrested and a further 221 servers was blocked.

the Investigation has been led by Germany and lasted four years. Police and prosecutors from 30 countries have participated in the work. Also, the european police authority Europol has participated.

Two of the seized servers was in the Stockholm area.

— There is a part in this crime, spreading out the business all over the world, ” says Anders Ahlqvist, IT brottsexpert at the police national operational department, to SVT News.

the Police will investigate if the servers will be investigated in Sweden or if they will be sent to Germany.

Hackarnätverket have used a platform, "Avalanche", for its attacks.
